this link Yesterday, I was dealing with a case of the “Mondays” which is not a normal occurrence for me in general.
my review here (Dealing with the business owner “Everydays” is more normal.)
Then life punched me in the gut in a rather sad way forcing me to immediately and without hesitation stop acting like a toddler who hasn’t slept or eaten for hours.
The almighty Facebook pinged me with an anniversary announcement.
I usually pay no attention to notifications on Facebook or otherwise.
For whatever reason, I clicked on this one, maybe because I was looking for something to distract me from working.
I then spent the next twenty minutes researching Facebook posts to figure out why an old friend was now confined to a wheelchair.
This person played football with me, was a personal trainer, fitness model, and a physical therapist.
Not a person you would expect to see in a wheelchair.
Adding insult to injury he has two young kids to take care of and a business to run.
His paralysis was due to an ATV accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down with a 0.1% chance of walking again.
Nothing like a little perspective to snap one out of an emotional state.
Our lives can change in an instant whether it be through our own doing and thinking or the universe’s doing and thinking.
I find it immensely valuable and grounding to keep things in perspective no matter how great or how terrible they seem in the moment (often a little prompting is needed).
